Trish Bell, Co-chair of the Miami Science Museum’s Board of Trustees
Mrs. Bell has been an active supporter of the Miami Science Museum for over 20 years and a member of the Museum’s Board since 1997. She has long been an active member of the Museum’s “Patrons” support group, holding numerous offices including president, fair chair and major event planner, and she chairs the Museum’s “Leadership Circle” for major Museum donors. She and Mr. Bell also chaired the Museum’s first annual Galaxy Gala in 2003. Mrs. Bell is also actively involved with numerous other community organizations. She is currently on the Board of the Community Partnership for the Homeless, and is an active supporter of the American Red Cross, The Villagers, the University of Miami Women’s Guild, Gables Estates Club, Kendall United Methodist Church, among others. A resident of Coral Gables, Mrs. Bell majored in music education at High Point College.
Dan Bell, Co-chair of the Miami Science Museum’s Board of Trustees
Mr. Bell is co-founder and Chairman of Kos Pharmaceuticals and has been on the Museum’s Board since 2002. He has overseen the growth of Kos from its inception in 1988 into a 1,000-employee fully-integrated specialty pharmaceutical company with its own national sales force and several internally-developed proprietary products, principally in the cardiovascular field. Prior to founding Kos, Mr. Bell was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Miami-based Key Pharmaceuticals. Before the Bells, who now reside in Coral Gables, moved to Miami in 1977, Mr. Bell was an executive with Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan. Mr. Bell holds BA and MBA degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Walter L. Revell, Chair of the Construction Committee of the Miami Science Museum’s Board of Trustees
Walter Revell is a member of the Miami Science Museum’s Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Board of Trustees’ Construction Committee. He led the Construction Committee in the selection process for the design and executive architects for the Museum’s new building at Museum Park. He continues to play an important role in the planning process for Miami Science Museum’s new building.
Mr. Revell is Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Revell Investments International, Inc., a diversified investment, development and management company located in Coral Gables, Florida.
Mr. Revell also serves as a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of The St. Joe Company, a publicly traded company that is Florida’s largest land owner and real estate developer, as a Director and member of the Audit Committee of Rinker Group Limited, a large multinational corporation based in Australia with extensive operations in the United States, and as a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of International Finance Bank in Miami, Florida. He is also the chairman of the Audit Committee of NCL’s Board of Trustees.
He served as Chairman and CEO of H.J. Ross Associates, Inc., consulting engineers, planners and scientists, and continues as Senior Advisor to the new parent company, T.Y. Lin International, in San Francisco.
Mr. Revell served as Secretary of Transportation for the State of Florida in the Askew Administration
Taffy Gould, Member of the Executive Committee and Chair of the Nominating Committee of the Miami Science Museum’s Board of Trustees
Taffy Gould is a member of the Miami Science Museum’s Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Board of Trustees’ Nominating Committee.
Five generations of her family have visited and been actively involved in the Museum.
Ms. Gould has been actively involved in the Museum since she was invited to join the Museum’s Board of Trustees in 2003 by Board Co-chairs Trish and Dan Bell.
Joining the Museum’s Board of Trustees was a natural fit for Ms. Gould who for many years has been interested in science, especially medicine, anthropology, archaeology, invention and engineering. She is Chairperson of E-Medical Education Ltd. which focuses on providing online medical education to health care professionals around the world.
Walid Wahab, Member of the Executive Committee of the Miami Science Museum’s Board of Trustees
Walid Wahab is a member of the Miami Science Museum’s Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees and a valued member of the Board of Trustees’ Construction Committee. Mr. Wahab is the founder of Wahab Construction, a general contracting and construction management firm in South Florida. His educational background includes Architectural and Civil Engineering degrees from the University of Miami, along with an MBA specializing in Procurement and Contracting/Logistics, Operations and Materials Management from George Washington University.
His extensive construction knowledge and experience is an asset to the Miami Science Museum in the planning and development process of the New Museum project.
